ATLANTA – August 5, 2019Mobile Labs, a leading provider of mobile device clouds to Global 2000 mobile developers and testers, announced today that it has added Derek Ray as director of development to its Atlanta-based team.

In his new role, Derek oversees the entire development process and leads the Mobile Labs team in continued mobile testing innovation surrounding its patented mobile device cloud, GigaFox. With over 20 years of combined IT and development experience and a proven ability to build, motivate and lead diverse high-performance teams, Derek has an impressive history of architecting large-scale business applications for full-stack desktop, web, mobile and cloud technologies.

“Derek is already making an excellent addition to our organization and I am confident that his expertise will prove invaluable as we continue making mobile app testing simple and painless for companies of all sizes,” said Dan McFall, president and CEO of Mobile Labs.

Before Mobile Labs, Derek served as a software development manager in the dental healthcare industry. He managed local, remote and offshore developers, including senior developers and team leads, while ensuring optimal product development and quality. He also built and maintained collaborative cross-functional relationships to coordinate software releases, managed ad hoc purchasing within US R&D groups and introduced cloud-centric applications and oversaw their usage during adoption periods and releases of pilot projects.

“I knew I wanted to become part of the Mobile Labs team not only because it was a great opportunity to work on GigaFox, but also because the organization as a whole is inherently innovative and collaborative,” said Derek. “The developers are constantly working together to come up with new ways to solve testing problems, and it’s that creative, customer-centric culture that makes Mobile Labs stand out by continuing to provide excellent support.”
