Kobiton has acquired Mobile Labs, Inc

News Update from CEO Dan McFall: Mobile Labs Partners with Kobiton

Thursday, November 5, 2020

Mobile Labs’ industry-leading mobile device cloud GigaFox is now part of Kobiton’s Mobile Experience Platform.

On behalf of the team at Mobile Labs, I am pleased to announce that Mobile Labs has joined forces with mobile experience platform leader, Kobiton. You can read the official press release announcing this new partnership here.

By uniting Mobile Labs’ industry-leading device clouds with Kobiton’s Mobile Experience Platform, together these solutions will empower developers and QA teams to deliver apps even faster with higher quality by leveraging artificial intelligence across real-devices spanning cloud and on-premises deployments.

10 years ago, Mobile Labs set out to create the industry's most secure and reliable mobile testing lab, and I couldn’t be prouder of the team for delivering on that vision and beyond. Our accelerated growth, and feedback from our customers, allowed us to continue to innovate in our industry, releasing additional market-leading capabilities such as Gigafox along the way.

Never a company to rest on our laurels, we saw a huge opportunity to improve our customers’ testing experience even further, especially with the maturity of AI and machine learning, while recognizing the desire for many companies to move their infrastructure to the cloud.

In order to deliver on such a bold and aggressive vision, we searched for a partnership where the whole would be greater than the sum of the parts. We set out to seek the best of the best, and today I’m thrilled to announce a merger between Mobile Labs and Kobiton!

Leveraging our expertise in mobile lab deployments along with Kobiton’s cutting-edge AI and cloud deployment model truly leads to delivering the most complete mobile experience platform on the market today. Nobody else comes close. Period.

Rest assured that Mobile Labs’ customers will not experience any interruptions to their operations. Instead, our customers will have access to more flexible deployment options, new AI-driven test automation capabilities and a larger team of developers to incorporate your feedback into our combined roadmap.

Over the next few months, I will continue to share details with you as we unify our companies to deliver on our vision. Understandably, an announcement such as this may cause some concern or raise more questions. I have included additional information below that will hopefully answer your most important questions.

Please feel free to reach out to your Mobile Labs Account Manager at any time if you have any additional questions.

It’s an exciting time in enterprise mobility and we are thrilled to see what the future holds.

Sincerely,

Dan McFall

President & CEO of Mobile Labs

FAQ: Mobile Labs and Kobiton’s New Partnership

What does this mean for my existing Mobile Labs relationship?

Everything about your existing Mobile Labs relationship remains intact. Your product access remains the same, your licenses remain the same and your pricing remains unchanged.

Do we have to transition platforms?

No - The combined Kobiton and Mobile Labs entity is there to give you the best of both worlds. As a Mobile Labs customer, you can continue to use the Mobile Labs platform as-is with no change and no interruption. However, you now will also have access to some of the unique features that Kobiton provides, including scriptless test automation.

  • The ability to transition to, or supplement your existing deployment with, a cloud-based deployment model requiring less device maintenance
  • The largest collection of real-devices available for testing
  • The latest in AI test automation technologies including scriptless test automation
  • The fastest performance of any mobile device lab
