Will 2016 be the year of simplified device management? A recent study sponsored by Mobile Labs and conducted by Enterprise Mobility Exchange offers insight on this, as well as other defining challenges and opportunities for the current year.
A challenge surprising no one is the need to accelerate mobile initiatives and app adoption rates. Users, regardless of company size, were dissatisfied with both of these key elements of mobility. Much of this dissatisfaction may result from companies’ continued failure to unify IT with their other lines of business.
While companies attempt to successfully align IT with other business units, some areas are outpacing the rest. Users reported sales and marketing, field services and operations as the primary lines of business receiving new mobile apps or having apps currently in the design stages.
Fortunately, enterprises plan to ramp up mobile efforts in 2016. According to the report, large organizations have deployed an average of 128 mobile applications to date and are expecting their deployments to expand by 16.3 percent in the next 12-24 months.
So with an increased focus on mobile development in 2016, the question remains: will 2016 be the year you take the pain out of mobile device management? Download the Enterprise Mobility Exchange Analyst Insight Report to find out.
