As businesses call for greater digital adoption, time-to-market product lifecycles are growing shorter than ever. While businesses focus on driving digital agility, it should never override the end goal: delivering a quality end-user experience. Fortunately, the seventh edition of the World Quality Report, sponsored by our partner Capgemini, found that businesses are devoting increased resources to QA and testing.
The report shows that QA and testing budgets have increased 9 percent year-over-year. This trend looks to continue, as the proportion of IT spend allocated to QA and testing is predicted to rise to 40 percent by 2018.
While we’re seeing a growing emphasis on QA and testing, the report also shows an increase in Development and Operations (DevOps) methodology. These internal collaborative efforts are helping provide the agility enterprises need to meet demand without sacrificing quality.
Among the report’s top recommendations: make continuous and automated security testing a key strategy to meet shorter deadlines.
Check out the report for an in-depth look at the state of quality assurance and testing. After all, if there’s one area you don’t want to fall behind in, it’s in delivering a quality user experience.
