Mobile Labs, LLC, a leader in automated, cross-platform mobile application testing, today announced its partnership with Tekstrom, Inc., a full-service information technology development and consulting company with a dedicated, independent software testing and quality assurance (QA) services division. As a member of the Mobile Labs partner program, Tekstrom will resell Mobile Labs’ suite of mobile application testing solutions.
Under terms of the partnership, Tekstrom will be a Value Added Reseller (VAR) of deviceConnect™, a private, internal device cloud that delivers comprehensive management capabilities for mobile devices, users, and apps in corporate test labs. In addition, Tekstrom will resell Mobile Labs Trust™, a next-generation automated mobile application testing solution, which is an add-in for the industry’s leading automated testing platform. The combination of deviceConnect and Trust provides enterprises with secure support for both automated and manual mobile application testing, while simultaneously solving device access and management challenges.
Mobile Labs Trust uses deviceConnect to perform cross-platform automated testing on real, pristine smartphones and tablets. Trust is a mobile app testing tool that uses object-level detection and interaction rather than visual-based (optical character recognition or image-within-image) techniques. The result is more effective and efficient mobile application testing.
Manual testing efficiency and management is transformed with deviceConnect. With deviceConnect, testers can easily locate the right device and the right app and make an instantaneous connection to begin testing from any desktop in the enterprise. deviceConnect manages authorized users, available devices, and applications available for test. These capabilities are especially important for enterprises with geographically-dispersed teams that need to access devices from a shared pool of smartphones and tablets.
“Whether testing is manual or automated, our customers face a number of challenges where mobile app testing is concerned: having the right devices available for testers; providing device access to geographically distributed testers; managing a number of ever-changing variables including operating system releases, device types, new apps and app version updates; securing devices and apps under test; and improving tester efficiency and app quality, just to name a few,” commented Tekstrom Founder and President Charanjeet Singh Minhas. “We are very excited to partner with a company who truly understands these challenges and presents a secure, on-premises solution that tackles all of them with ease.”
“With a focus on software testing and QA, Tekstrom has first-hand knowledge of how difficult it can be for organizations to rapidly deploy high-quality enterprise mobile apps,” Mobile Labs CEO Don Addington said. “Our partnership with Tekstrom enables us to provide our customers with a full range of mobile application testing services and technology including device management and access and comprehensive manual and automated app testing support with an easy-to-deploy private, on-premises cloud. We are fortunate to welcome such a high caliber company into our partner ecosystem.”
