Mobile apps are software. It is our belief that apps should be tested like, well, software. That’s why we develop solutions that use software-based technologies to test software using instruments already inside phones and tablets. This approach is a bit different from those who came before us. First generation testing tools were largely dependent on a hardware interface, such as a screenshot, to interface with a mobile app under test. Most of these tools relied on image-within-image (IWI) or object character recognition (OCR) software to convert images into mobile objects for testing. These processes were both error-prone and time consuming.
Mobile Labs testing solutions access the object class and attributes information on the phone directly, completely eliminating the need for hardware-based approaches. Our approach solves the inadequacies of OCR and IWI, resulting in more effective and efficient capabilities for mobile application testing.
